humyo.com is the culmination of considerable software, network and systems experience in the UK, Germany and the United States. humyo was founded in January 2007 by Dan Conlon and Peter Dubens who envisioned a safe, secure storage space, accessible from any device anywhere in the world as a single replacement for multiple unreliable and unconnected local and portable storage devices.
Dan Conlon, Managing Director
Dan founded Donhost in 2000 which with a reputation for technical innovation and peerless customer service quickly became one of the UK's most successful web hosting companies. Dan sold Donhost to Pipex Communications Plc. in 2005 in a multi-million pound deal and became MD of Pipex Hosting. After retiring from Pipex in 2006, Dan quickly became bored of daytime TV and founded humyo in January 2007 to keep himself busy.
Mark Beyer, Marketing Director
Mark achieved his degree at the University of California LA and upon his return to Germany in 1998, he joined Strato AG in Berlin. After overseeing the expanding company's marketing operations, Mark moved to the UK and launched 1&1 Internet Ltd. Soon after the company became one the biggest web hosts in the UK, Mark moved to the United States and repeated his launch success with 1&1 Internet Inc. Mark is currently Marketing Director at humyo.
Peter Dubens, Chairman
Peter Dubens is Executive Chairman of Pipex Communications plc, a listed UK network services provider and was formerly Executive Chairman of 365 Media Group plc, the largest UK online sports content and gaming company which was sold to BskyB in December 2006. He is also the co-founder of Oakley Capital Management Limited, a fund of hedge funds and Oakley Capital Private Equity Partners LLP, a private equity fund investing in technology companies.
